For an absolutely fantastic winter ski holiday, the ski resort Ischgl/Samnaun – Silvretta Arena is an outstanding destination for families and skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Located in Paznaun-Ischgl, Austria and in the Scuol Samnaun Val Müstair Holiday Region of Graubünden, Switzerland, this resort boasts an impressive 238 kilometres of slopes and an additional 15 kilometres all situated between the elevations of 1,377 and 2,872 metres.
From beginner areas with wide ski slopes and smooth descents to the more challenging steep slopes with extreme terrain, everything is up for grabs at Ischgl and Samnaun. There are 47 kilometres of easy slopes perfect for beginners to get used to their skis, The Idalp and Alp Trida are the most common starting points and there is also the Viderböden practice area. For skiers who are more confident and want more of a challenge there is a whopping 142 kilometres of intermediate slopes to explore so if you're up for the next level then Palinkopf and Visnitz are the slopes to progress onto. Expert runs take up 21% of the resort with a total of 49 kilometres of slopes, the most difficult slope in the whole of the resort it the Lange Wand which is 1.8 kilometres in length
Guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining and après ski as there is 15 Mountain restaurants & Ski huts to choose from which are all distributed throughout the resort. A popular choice is the Restaurant Alpenhaus which serves delicious food and a selection of fine wines which can be enjoyed whilst soaking up the scenery on one of the sun terraces. If you're a bit of a party animal then The Kuhstall is the place for you, it is one of the best après ski destinations in the area and has live music and a DJ to take you right through till the early hours.
