Located in the heart of Montafon, Vorarlberg, Austria is the Kristberg – Silbertal Ski Resort. Even though the resort may be small it compensates by having a cosy, homely, alpine feel and is a fantastic resort with only natural snow and is especially suited towards small children and those who are new to the winter sport of skiing.
The resort consists of 4.5 kilometres of slopes set between elevations of 889 and 1,589 metres. 3 kilometres of the slopes are classified as ‘easy’ runs, and beginners and children will feel more than at home in the "Silbi's Winterwelt" area as it is perfect for those who are looking to get to grips with their skis on much easier slopes. Slowing down and pleasant guiding is ensured at this intimate and homely the resort. There is a further 1.5 kilometres of intermediate slopes for those skiers and snowboarders who are more confident on the slopes and desire more of a challenge. There no slopes for experts at this resort however there is an additional 4.5 kilometres of marked ski routes with the most challenging run to the base station and the easy Sattel ski route up on the Kristberg area of the resort.
Additional activities this resort provides include sledding, walking and snowshoe hiking around some of the prepared trails. Kristberg – Silbertal Ski Resort is one that is able to provide even the most novice skiers and snowboarders an unforgettable holiday amongst the snow.
