In the Erste Ferienregion im Zillertal region of Austria lies the Spieljoch – Fügen ski resort, ideally situated for both tourists and locals alike. There is a total of 21.1km of slopes at this resort, with an additional 3.4km of ski routes for those who want to explore a bit further. With 8 ski lifts to transport guests around the resort, elevations are between 630m and 2,037m, allowing for a wide variety of terrains and surfaces.
It is only natural to play it safe if you have limited experience of skiing, but at this resort visitors and residents are encouraged hone their skills by trying out a variety of different slopes. The wide slopes of Onkeljoch and Arzjoch are recommended as great early morning slopes, appropriate for beginners and intermediates especially. In total there are 3.6km of easy blue slopes, 14.8km of intermediate red slopes and 2.7km of difficult black slopes. The emphasis here is on skiers with limited experience making that jump to the intermediate courses. In addition, there is also 3.4km of marked ski routes leading from the Geols Panorama lift straight down to the base of the resort.
