St Johann resort information
St. Johann in Tirol is considered by locals and tourists as a holiday region of Austria, especially when ski resorts such as St. Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf – Harschbichl are included. This medium size resort has 43km of slopes available, as well as ski routes of 1km on length. There are 17 ski lifts to help guests get around the resort and elevation of between 659m and 1,604m.
The Harschbichl is the highest point in the resort, and often the starting point for most skiing and snowboarding adventures here. In total, there are 16km of easy blue slopes, 24km of intermediate red slopes and 3km of difficult black slopes. This family resort can therefore cater to younger children starting out on the snow, as well as those skiers with much more experience looking to push the limits of their own technique on the harder courses. It’s worth trying the Harschbichl-Eichenhof slope at 8km in length, as well as the Eichenhof II run. The Sauregg run is an FIS classified black run, and the most difficult at the resort.
Another great feature of the resort is the funslope, which includes three 3-metre kickers, a wave run, banked run, High 5 and jagged spiral for freestylers and younger skiers to enjoy. Lastly, for those that haven’t got enough of the slopes during the day, there is also night skiing on offer.
