Located in the idyllic village of St. Kathrein am Hauenstein (Styria, Austria) is the Hauereck ski resort. This is a perfectly petite resort that offers 5 km of slopes at an elevation between 1,000 and 1,305m. There are 3 operational lifts to transport guests.
The slopes at this cosy resort are easy to read, and navigation is straight forward when it comes to the 7 available slopes. There are 2km of ‘easy’ and ‘intermediate’ runs, and 1km of ‘difficult’ terrain so there is something for everyone to enjoy, off the slopes, there are alternative valley runs which lead through the alpines on both sides of the resort.
This particular resort is the perfect choice for beginners who are looking to explore and develop on the slopes, families enjoy their time here and children have lots of fun learning all there is to know and developing their confidence. Locals use the resort as well as tourist and often the clientele here are guests on a mini break.
