The medium-sized ski resort Steinplatte/Winklmoosalm – Waidring/Reit im Winkl is a wonderful spot for some enjoyable Austrian skiing and snowboarding, with up to 42km of fresh slopes awaiting visitors and residents over the winter season. In addition, there are 2km of marked ski routes to tempt the intrepid explorer, and 13 ski lifts are used to ferry guests between elevations of 740m and 1,860m.
In total, there are 18km of easy blue slopes, 22km of intermediate red slopes and 2km of difficult black slopes. The emphasis here is definitely on beginners and intermediate skiers, appealing to those who are very new to winter sports, along with those enthusiasts with some experience looking to hone their technique. The longest run at the resort is Steinplatte-Seegatterl that runs for 12km, whereas the most difficult slope is No.8 on the Steinplatte northern slope that is 1.2km.
As well as the 2km of marked ski routes for the most adventurous in your skiing party, there is also a valley run and a snow park available. Lastly, there is artificial snow-maing capabilities in case the snowfall is not as expected.
