The Crested Butte Ski Resort is located in Colorado, USA. It is commonly known as being an old coal mining town but with its vast amount of slopes and wide range of varying terrain it is clear to see why it often hosts Free Skiing Championships.
In total there are 121 kilometres of expansive runs perfect for skiers and boarders of all abilities. With elevations between 2,774 and 3,707 metres, residents and visitors can take advantage of everything this resort has to offer. Expert athletes will feel comfortable on the 25 kilometres of black runs and the more challenging FID-suitable slopes, as well as being able to experience the ever-challenging Keystone Ridge. On the opposite end of the scale, families and beginners will appreciate the 69 kilometres of red runs including Pine Carpet and the 27 kilometres of gentle blue runs with flatter and wider slopes which include Little Lizzy and Tulsa slopes, ideal for those who are getting to grips with their skis.
During winter there are so many more activities to partake in, these include cross country skiing on 55 kilometres of specially groomed trails or even snowmobiling, tubing, tobogganing, horse riding, snowshoeing, and even ice skating, the resort caters for so many
As well as having an abundance of activities, there is also so much to choose from when it comes to drinking and dining. Django’s is a small yet very chic restaurant. Alternatively there is a rustic restaurant with a lovely alpine feel called Uley’s Cabin which is situated on the mountain.
