The Grand Targhee Ski Resort is located in Wyoming, USA. This fantastic resort offers skiers and snowboarders over 35 kilometres of slopes, with elevations between 2,310 and 3,048 metres, guaranteeing variety for all ages and abilities. There are 3 peaks to the mountain, ‘Freds Mountain’ ‘Marys Nipple’ and ‘Peaked Mountain’. ‘Freds Mountain and ‘Peaked Mountain’ each have direct ski lifts to access the highest elevations, whilst a walking trail is worth the hard work to be able to move across each of the 3 peaks and experience some breath-taking scenery.
The Grand Targhee is a wonderful destination for skiing and snowboarding as it consists of a many different variants of slopes. Beginners can get to grips with their skis on the 5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, more advanced skiers can show off their skills on the 15 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and for those seeking a little more adrenaline, the resort offers skiers a further 15 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes as well as impressive vertical descents. The Grand Targhee also has an excellent ski school with fantastic resources and instructors who can teach adults and children in the initial stages of their skiing journey.
The resort has so much more to offer than a fantastic day on the slopes, there is a wealth of other activities for guests to partake in including sliding down the tubing park, snowcat skiing, snowshoe hiking, fat biking and you can also experience an avalanche dog demo and watch these amazing dogs put their unique abilities to work at the Top of the Sacajawea lift. With so much to do and amazing memories to make it is clear to see why the Grand Targhee Ski Resort is so popular with visitors and guests.
