The Granite Gorge is a petite downhill ski resort located in southwest New Hampshire in the United States of America. It is located on Pinnacle Mountain in the town of Roxbury. What attracts skiers to this fantastic destination is the fact that it has north facing slopes, it is protected from the wind and is located in a cold hollow, all this makes for amazing winter ski conditions.
With elevation ranges between 244 and 404 meters and consisting of a total of 6 kilometres of slopes, it is guaranteed that even the most inexperienced of skiers and snowboarders can enjoy an unforgettable day in the snow. There are 3 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes which are wider, enabling more room for turning and stopping, perfect for getting to grips with your ski skills for the first time. The resort also has an outstanding ski school with fantastic resources and instructors who can teach adults and children in the initial stages of their skiing journey. The 2 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes are slightly more demanding and the 1 kilometres of black slopes ensure that even the most ambitious of skiers can have fun on the pistes. The majority of the tracks are covered by a snowmaking system and all the cross-country tracks are well maintained and prepared. In total there are 20 trails so you’re sure to find something to suit your ability.
When the skiing day has come to an end, there is a small, cozy yet rustic cafe, perfect to warm up with a beverage or a spot of lunch, watching the skiers go by whilst relaxing by the fire. The Ski Resort Granite Gorge is the ideal destination for all the family.
