The Kirkwood ski resort is located near Lake Tahoe in the United States of America and is a very popular resort for both visitors and locals. With elevations between 2,377 and 2,987 metres and over 65 kilometres of slopes, there really is something to suite every taste. It boasts the reputation of having some of North America’s most diverse and challenging terrain with everything from long groomed trails to expert lines and chutes.
Covering pistes of all difficulties skiers can choose to take it easy on the 15 kilometres of easy slopes, build up their confidence on 30 kilometres of intermediate slopes or really show off their endurance skills on the 20 kilometres of downhill expert slopes. There are also 13 lifts to transport visitors and residents around the park with ease as well as rewarding them with astonishing views of the surrounding mountains and unforgettable moments.
But the fun doesn’t stop on the slopes, in addition to all this, Kirkwood also provides a wealth of other activities including cross country skiing, snowshoeing and dog sled tours. This amazing resort really does provide many opportunities for the winter sport lover to spend their time.
