The fantastically named Smugglers’ Notch is a large ski resort located in Vermont, USA, providing a huge 78km of slopes for winter sports fans to indulge themselves in. The resort is well-equipped with 8 ski lifts to transport guests and elevations of between 314m and 1,112m.
During the winter season, skiers and snowboarders can make the most of the resorts family friendly atmosphere, as well as the bevy of activities on offer during their stay. The slopes themselves can be divided by ability, with 13km of blue slopes, 41km of red slopes, and 24km of black slopes. This ensures an equal representation of all skiing abilities, giving beginners and young children space to practice whilst giving advanced skiers the chance to take on some professional courses.
In addition to the copious number of slopes, there are also a great deal of activities for those wanting the full resort experience. They include snowcat rides, ice skating, tobogganing, zip line canopy tours, tube sliding, airboarding and a Funzone 2.0 family fun complex for the little ones.
They say that good taste isn’t hard to find at Smugglers’ Notch, and with 9 dining options within the resort, as well as others in Vermont, you won’t be going hungry during your stay. Highlights include The Morse Mountain Grille and Pub, The Hearth & Candle for fine dining and Ben and Jerrys Scoop Shop for, of course, amazing ice cream.
