The Solitude ski resort is located in Salt Lake City, Utah in the USA, and has over 64km of slopes available to keen skiers and snowboarders during the winter season. There are 8 ski lifts to transport guests from slope to slope, within elevations of between 2,434m and 3,000m.
Locals and tourists are avid fans of this wonderful resort, coming back year after year to enjoy the fresh snow. With a balanced number of sufficient slopes including 20km of easy blue runs, 30km of intermediate red runs and 14km of difficult black runs, you can definitely see why. Ideal for beginners, the resort also has its own Snowsports Academy, teaching everything from alpine skiing and snowboarding to telemark skiing and Nordic skiing. In addition, there is a Nordic Center, where they have over 20km of trails marked for classic Nordic skiing. Lastly, they often host competitions at the resort, including the FIS World Championships in 2019.
For those who want to kick back and relax after a full day of skiing or snowboarding, the resort has a fully equipped Mountain Spa, where guests can have a number of treatments to work out those stresses and strains. Once visitors and residents are perfectly chilled, it’s worth grabbing a bite to eat at one of many restaurants at the resort, including the Honeycomb Grill, St Bernard’s, the Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery, and the Library Bar. For the very best après ski, try the Thirsty Squirrel.
