For a fantastic skiing or snowboarding holiday, there’s nowhere better than the Sugarbush ski resort in the Mad River Valley in Vermont, USA. With a phenomenal 87km of slopes, this resort has everything that any winter sports fan could hope for, with locals and tourists flocking to the area every year. There are 13 ski lifts available for guests to navigate the resort, which is situated between 452m and 1,240m.
The resort is spread across two peaks; Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen. In total, there are 17km of easy blue runs, 40km of intermediate red runs and 30km of difficult black runs. This fine balance of slopes ensures that this is a universal destination for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Beginners can find their feet on wide gentle slopes, whilst pro-skiers can challenge themselves for the next exhilarating slope.
After an exciting day of winter sports activities, visitors and residents are able to seek out a number of restaurants and bars to get food and drink in. Highlights include Rumbles Kitchen, Allyn’s Lodge Fireside Dining and the Castlerock Pub for some outstanding craft beers.
