Situated in the state of Idaho (just north of Nevada), the Tamarack ski resort has enough to keep even the most enthusiastic winter sports fan happy. There are 42km of fresh slopes to enjoy during the winter season, and 6 ski lifts to ferry guests to their favourite slopes on the mountain. The skiing area is located at elevations between 1,490m and 2,347m.
The resort is popular with both locals and tourists alike during the winter season, and due to its 900 acres of skiable area there is enough to go around. There are 12km of easy blue runs, 20km of intermediate red runs and 10km of difficult black runs for skiers and snowboarders to take advantage of during their stay. In addition, there is a valley run available at the resort, as well as a snow park for freestylers to have fun in, and a snow park for younger children to enjoy their first time in the snow.
Most visitors and residents flock to some of the many restaurants and bars close to the resort after a long day of winter sports. Highlights in the local area include the Canoe Grill & Vertical Bar and the Mile High Cantina, whereas the Seven Devils Pub is the best spot for some refreshing après-ski drinks.
