The high-altitude Winter Park Ski Resort is located within Colorado USA, this wonderful resort provides guests with a whopping 143km of varied terrain to explore, elevations at the resort are between 2,743 and 3,676m offering some of the best ski and snowboard conditions above tree level, there are 22 lifts for guests to utilise. For some added fun on the resort there is a snow park and half pipe for free style skiers to explore.
Being located just 67 miles away from Denver it offers a wonderful day out if the slopes become a little too tiresome. The Winter Park Resort features all difficulty levels, there are 11km of easy runs primarily located through the forest, 53km of intermediate slopes go through the forest and on Vasquez Ridge, whilst the steeper more challenging difficult runs dominate the Mary Jane, with 79km of challenging slopes awaiting. The longest run is the Village Way Trail it is 7km in length, the most difficult run is the West Headwall, other mentionable slopes include the Sleeper, Edelweiss, Sundance and Lower Huges. The slopes above treeline and the most challenging slopes can be accessed via the Panoramic Express which, if the time is taken offers some magnificent views.
