High above Lake Zell, the Schmittenhöhe – Zell am See ski resort welcomes guests from all over the world to experience some of the finest skiing in Salzburg, Austria. Fantastically equipped with over 77km of slopes and an additional 8km of ski routes available, there is also elevations of between 760m and 2,000m to satisfy skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
Amongst the 25 ski lifts available to help guests navigate the huge resort, is the brand-new zellamseeXpress gondola with space for 10 people. This new construction allows passengers to utilise a new expanded ski slope down to Viehofen. In addition, there are Schmitten Jukebox cabins where guests can listen to a wonderful variety of music on their way up the mountain.
There are 5 superb valley runs in total for skiers and snowboarders to experience, split by ability. This works out at 30km of easy slopes, 28km of intermediate slopes and 19km of difficult slopes in all. With such a variety of slopes, this truly is a universal resort, where beginners and families will be just as happy as pro-skiers who are looking for challenges at every turn.
For those feeling peckish during an exhilarating run on the slopes, there are several mountain restaurants that not only offer fantastic food but also awe-inspiring views.
