Located in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, is the Ski Resort Cortina d’Ampezzo. Skiing in the Dolomites is very popular amongst winter sport enthusiasts as they are classed as the most beautiful mountains in the world and the Cortina d’Ampezzo is a dream destination for many skiers.
Skiers can revel in the resorts 120 kilometres of slopes with elevations between 1,224 and 2,924 metres. The high altitudes and excellent snow-making facilities mean that the ski season is guaranteed from the end of November until late April. The ski area itself comprises three mountain ranges which are connected by a free-of-charge ski bus. With 45 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs, 55 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and 20 kilometres of ‘expert’ black runs there really is something for every skier to enjoy limitless amounts of fun in the snow.
Skiing and boarding is not all this fantastic resort has to offer, as there is a wealth of other activities for all to enjoy including sledging down one of the specially prepared runs, great fun for all the family. Experiencing some of the cross-country ski trails in the Dolomiti Superski territory with high altitudes and perfectly maintained routes. Snow shoe hiking is also very popular with trails through winter woodlands and snowy meadows. Guests may also want something a little different and choose to skate away the winter hours figure skating in the ice arena or playing a game of ice hockey.
