The Ski Resort Manganui – Mount Taranaki is located in Taranaki, North Island, New Zealand. Is is a resort more suited towards the more confident and expert skiers but there are opportunities for beginner skiers to have a great time on the slopes.
With 10.5 kilometres of slopes and elevations between 1,260 and 1,680 metres, skiers and snowboarders will find a wide range of slopes with varying degrees of difficulties for every ability. The 0.5 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes cater for those who are new to skiing and want to experience slower paced pistes, The Brown Bear ski area is perfect for families with young children. The 3.5 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes and 6.5 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes offer a more challenging ride and off piste areas for more experienced skiers and free riders, Walters Slalom is one of the most challenging runs in the resort.
