Mt Hutt resort information

Located in Canterbury, South Island in New Zealand, lies the Mt. Hutt Ski Resort. Surrounded by Breath-taking alpine scenery and offering a variety of wide open terrain for all skiing abilities, this resort has recently been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort. It is perfect for that special winter holiday, with elevation ranges between 1,438 and 2,086 metres, visitors will be able to take advantage of 40 kilometres of slopes as well as being in awe of the incredible views.

There is 10 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes and beginner trails, perfect for those finding their feet. The resort's wide-open slopes ensure there is plenty of space to practice the Lower Wayleggo is an ideal next step after progressing from the flats. The 20 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes, which are much steeper and demanding, located on the Hubers Run and the 10 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes within the Virgin Mile Ridge area are an off-piste playground for those who are looking for exhilaration and excitement on the slopes. Mt. Hutt also boasts has a great terrain park in the area and is home to half pipes, rails, boxes and off-trail slopes perfect for free-riders. Snowshoe hikes and tubing are amongst the many activities visitors can experience whilst at the resort.

Après-ski is also popular here, with a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and terraces. Hubers Hut is a perfect spot to grab a quick drink and there is Sky High Cafe where you can warm up with a drink after the slopes.
