Mount Lyford Alpine Resort is a family-run ski resort located in Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand. This homely resort offers visitors 20 kilometres of excellent terrain packed with natural features, all set between elevations of 1,200 and 1,750 metres, perfect for all abilities and ages with slopes ranging from smooth and gentle, to extreme descents and terrain.
The resort itself has some great beginner terrain, 3 kilometres to be exact, ideal for those who want wider, gentler slopes. If you’re a more confident skier and want the challenge of steeper slopes then there are 7 kilometres of intermediate slopes to tackle. All this alongside 10 kilometres of expert slopes ensure that every ability is catered for whether you’re a novice or well-seasoned on the slopes. At Mount Lyford there is a terrain park which contains a number of different obstacles including the infamous international tuck jump and a new pipe groomer.
Throughout the mountain, there is a small selection of bars and cafes to rest in front of breath-taking landscapes. The Terako Day Lodge is a mountain guesthouse with a large terrace and serves great food with even greater views.
