For those who want low-altitude skiing with a variety of difficulty, then the ski resort Kåbdalis is the one for you. Located in the Swedish Lapland of Norrbotten, Sweden guests are able to take advantage of the 9 kilometres of slopes at elevations between 360 and 570 metres. Kåbdalis also has the reputation of being the best place for winter sports in the Jokkmokk area.
The resort itself is easy to navigate around and also has a calmer more relaxed atmosphere, steering clear of the hustle and bustle from some of the larger resorts. In totality the resort has 9 kilometres of slopes which consist of 4 kilometres of easy slopes, 3 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 2 kilometres of expert slopes. For beginners there is a flatter area located on both sides of the button lift which is perfect for learning new skills such a stopping and turning. For more of a challenge then head over to the Stora Backen, a red slope that is sure to test the more confident of skiers. However, if you are more of a powder professional then head up the Lasseliften where you will find the most difficult runs in the resort such as the Lucky Luc or Little big John. In addition to this there is also a further 4 kilometres of marked ski routes.
Added attractions to this resort are the snow park which has a range of different rocks, obstacles and jumps of various sizes, ideal for snowboarders. Night skiing is also an option, great for those who find the skiing day too short.
