Elevations at the resort range from between 572m and 872m above sea level.
There are 18km of easy runs, 15km of intermediate red runs and 2km of difficult black runs on offer for skiers and snowboarders to challenge themselves with. In fact, since there are slopes for all abilities, it means that beginners can easily get to grips with the wide, gentle courses and increase their confidence, whilst the more advanced can seek out their next steep run, even if they’re in the same group of travelers. The longest run here is 3km and an elevation difference of 240m.
In addition, there is a speed measurement and time measurement course so if you’re feeling competitive you can make a friendly leaderboard between the members of your party. As well as a valley run on offer, visitors and residents can make the most of the night skiing here, and extend their skiing or snowboarding well into the evening time.
Conveniently, guests need only nip into the town of Sälen for restaurants and bars, where they can recharge after a long day of skiing or snowboarding. Visitors and residents are advised to try the Appetito Ristorante Italiano, the Lammet & Grisen if you prefer a steakhouse, or Olarsgarden if you need a romantic, intimate setting.
