Riksgränsen resort information

An ideal resort for those who are new to this winter sport is the ski resort Riksgränsen which can be found in the idyllic location of Lapland, Northern Sweden, 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Only a 50 minute transfer away from the Narvik Airport, Norway, this resort is set amongst a snowy white backdrop set between elevations of 522 and 909 metres, making it perfect for beginner skiers of all ages.

There is plenty of terrain to explore here, 21 kilometres to be exact, which include some gentle descents for first time skiers and snowboarders to get to grips with. 6 lifts transport eager guests to the snow, with 10 kilometres of easy slopes, 10 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 1 kilometre of difficult slopes to choose from. This balance gives new skiers a chance to gain confidence, whilst the more advanced can challenge themselves on exciting new terrain.

As well as skiing, the resort also provides a wide range of other amenities and activities for people to enjoy; there is tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and snow parks for those who are looking for a little more adventure off the slopes.

Visitors can indulge in a wide range of choices when it comes to dining and apres ski. The Lobby Bar is a great place to grab a quick snack for recharging your batteries between slopes or for a more fine-dining option, the Restaurang Lapplandia is a modern restaurant which serves Swedish delicacies.
