Cypress Mountain is a ski resort in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is Vancouver's biggest ski and snowboard resort. The ski slopes in here cover a total of 51 kilometres with elevations between 842 and 1,440 metres, so whether you're a novice or an ambitious skier you're sure to find something for you making sure you have endless fun on the pistes.
The mountain itself has a natural divide with, easier calmer slopes on one side of the mountain and steeper more advanced slopes with trickier terrain on the other. For those who are new to the winter sport and welcome the easier slopes, there are 6.6 kilometres to choose from including the Panorama and Wind Jammer which are located in the centre of the resort just behind the base at Black Mountain Lodge. Just to the right of the lodge you will find slopes for more confident skiers. There are 22 kilometres of intermediate slopes with runs such as Maelle Rickers and Jasey Jay and are accessible by the Eagle Express Quad Chair. At the opposite side of the mountain expert skiers are welcomed with 22.4 kilometres of challenging terrain and double diamond runs including the exhilarating Meteor and Black on ice.
There is a wealth of other exciting activities to choose from including snow tubing, tobogganing, cross country skiing and self-guided snowshoe trails through the alpine scenery of Hollyburn Ridge. For drinking and dining, there are so many fantastic restaurants and bars to choose from for example the Cypress Creek Grill which serves mouth-watering burgers and chilli. The Crazy Raven Bar & Grill also serves amazing food but with an added bonus of full service dining with breath-taking views.
