The ski resort Marmot Basin – Jasper is located in Alberta, Canada and is in the heart of the Alberta’s Rockies. There are over 86 kilometres of slopes for guests and residents to enjoy and with elevation ranges between 1,698 and 2,410 metres, the high elevations teamed with the resorts artificial snow making facilities mean good quality snow coverage is ensured throughout the winter season.
Novices, new skiers and younger children can get to grips with their skis on the 26 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue slopes, learning to stop and turn on a much smoother terrain and will feel at ease and find their feet in the area surrounding the Caribou Chalet.
More confident skiers can test out their skills on 26 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red slopes, whilst the most ambitious skiers and professionals can have endless, extreme fun on 34 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes. The difficult slopes near Marmot Peak are very popular with the more experienced skiers however the most demanding run is Charlie's Bowl (No. 50) which is 0.3 kilometres in length.
There is a large cafe, Caribou Chalet, located at the base area with a great sun deck where you can stop for refreshments and watch the skiers and snowboarders hard at work. This resort is an ideal destination for all the family to enjoy with rewarding slopes and astonishing views to create unforgettable moments.
