Beitostolen Skisenter is situated in Valdres, Norway. For skiing and snowboarding there are over 11km of slopes available, 9 lifts, 12 runs and elevations of 900 to 1107m. The resort is located in the centre of a small mountain village that also offers a huge array of cross country trails.
There are slopes available for everyone, including families, inexperienced and avid skiers alike. Average snow fall is approximately 5ft, and the runs are mostly easy. 60% of the slopes are allocated to beginners, 35% to intermediate skiers and 5% for the more advanced skiers. In addition, there are separate areas for children with instructors available. Queuing for the ski lifts is a thing of the past, no time is wasted here.
Aside from the skiing there are many other activities available, including tobogganing, airboarding, ice fishing, husky sledging, snow rafting and much more. Beitostølen is a charming and well-established ski resort in the heart of Norway, and only 45 minutes by car from the nearest airport.
There are many eateries available from pizza joints to luxury dining. Some of the best pizzas can be found at Peppes Pizzas, and one of the nicer restaurants is Hytta Mat & Vinhus. For great beer and a warm welcome then Beito Ysteri AS is the best option.
