Gausdal resort information

Every season skiers and snowboarders flock to the Lillehammer region of Norway to experience some of best slopes in the world. The Skeikampen – Gausdal ski resort has everything these winter sports enthusiasts could need, with over 21km of slopes on offer, and 9 ski lifts for guests to use during their stay. At elevations of between 774m and 1,123m, there is a diverse amount of ski surfaces to sample, making it ideal for visitors and residents with a varied amount of ski experience.

With 8km of easy blue slopes, 11km of intermediate red slopes and 2km of difficult black slopes, there is something for the beginners, all the way up to die-hard experienced skiers too. The longest run is called Familiebakken at 2.5km on length and the most difficult course is called Bestemorbakken at 1.6km in length. Inaddition there is also night skiing on offer for those who hate to leave the slopes, and a snow park for wannabe freestylers to try improvising on the snow.

There are a number of bars and restaurants with some delicious local dishes to try, along with some fantastic beer on offer, including Skeistua, Kulturstua Ro and Skeikampen.
