Hafjell ski resort was first opened in 1988 for the Olympic Games in Lillehammer (Oppland, Norway) the resort is positioned just 15 kilometres from Lillehammer and 200 kilometres from Oslo. The nearest airport here is ‘Hammar Airport’ which is approximately 60 minutes travel time.
Guests here are able to enjoy the 44 kilometres of slopes available, easy terrains dominate with 33 kilometres of green slopes, 7 kilometres of blue/red slopes and 4 kilometres of black slopes. The longest run available is the ‘Summit to the base’ (15, 5, 2) this is 6 kilometres and the most difficult run is the Olympic run. There are 15 operational lifts to transport guests to their chosen elevations.
Elevations are between 195 and 1,030 metres but unusually so, it is at the highest peaks where the ‘easy’ slopes dominate the land. In the lower section there are primarily intermediate and difficult runs including the Olympic slope.
