Fonna Glacier Ski Resort resort information

Fonna Glacier ski resort is located in Western Norway, Vestlandet. It is a cosy resort with 5 kilometres of slopes perfect for every ability. Even though it is a small resort it is one of the most well-known summer ski resorts in Europe and has elevations between 1,200 metres and 1,460 metres.

From the Folgefonna Glacier, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the Hardanger Fjord and the glacier, on a clear day, you can even see all the way to the North Sea. This resort has a traditional alpine feel about it and consists of 2.5 kilometres of easy slopes and 2.5 kilometres of intermediate slopes. Cross-country skiing is also an option here on over 5 kilometres of prepared and marked trails.

During winter, there are so many more activities to partake in, these include snowmobiling, tubing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and even ice skating, the resort caters for so many hobbies. There is also a high-class snow park where boarders can practice their jumps, snow moguls, flips and twists.
