Kvitfjell resort information

The ski resort Kvitfjell is located in Lillehammer, Oppland, Norway. It is a modern, high quality ski resort and is one of the first ski areas to open every year. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 34 km of slopes available which are suitable for all levels of ability and 11 lifts to transport guests to their slope of choice.

Kvitfjell has a wide variety of terrain, within and above forested slopes, stretching over 34 kilometres. With elevations of 185 and 1,039 metres, snow is guaranteed throughout the winter season, there are also 90 Snow cannons meaning 90% of the slopes are groomed with artificial snow. The resort is mostly suited towards beginner skiers with 19 kilometres of easy that are perfect for beginner and young children. There are 10 kilometres of intermediate slopes which provide challenging runs with fantastic views as an added bonus. The 5 kilometres of ‘expert’ black slopes, include the most difficult run The Olympiabakke, which is 3.1 kilometres in length and also has the reputation of being the longest most difficult slope in the whole of Norway and is extremely steep in some areas.

There are 6 Mountain restaurants & Ski huts located throughout the resort. A spot of choice is the Tyri-Hans Ski-Kafé located in the lower part of Kvitfjell Vest which serves regional dishes to help guests recharge their batteries after a long day on the slopes. The Koia is a great après ski bar where the party gets going and lasts till late in the evening.
