Oppdal resort information

The alpine mountain village of Oppdal offers everything you could ask of a skiing resort. Located in Sør-Trøndelag, at an elevation of 585.00m - 1300.00m, Oppdal is one of the largest skiing areas in Norway. With a total slope length of 56km, comprised of 35 runs, this ski resort certainly has plenty to keep guests busy. Surrounding ski areas include Bjorli, Nordester and Norefjell, allowing for an even wider variety of pistes and scenery.

Oppdal tends to be very popular with families and first-time skiers as 40km of its slopes are classified as easy. With an additional 7km at intermediate level and 9km of difficult slopes, this resort has something to offer each member of the visiting group. There are also a further two areas dedicated to children.

Despite this skiing resort being set over four mountains, the area is incredibly accessible with a total of 17 ski lifts connecting all of the areas together. The main attraction in Oppdal is alpine skiing, however, guests can also access cross-country and back country skiing here, should they wish to do so.

Family friendly, Oppdal village centre is home to various shops, a cinema and a swimming pool; ideal for when children want a break from the slopes. Several cafes and restaurants can also be found here. After a morning on the slopes, the ‘Smak & Behag’ is the perfect place to cosy up and tuck in to a warm pastry and delicious hot chocolate. When the sun sets in the evening, guests can head to the Quality Skifer Hotel restaurant where the chefs will provide the utmost care and attention during the dining experience.
